A: Immediately! Active monitoring and service plan benefits are available for systems that have been installed and energized, but additional product discount eligibility begins the day your plan goes into effect.
A: Palmetto Protect customers can submit a maintenance request here, and a customer service representative will reach out right away to review the request and schedule service as needed.
A: Palmetto customer service representatives will reach out to keep you informed of progress, from the start of your service request through the completion of your service visit.
A: Contractors must be licensed and approved by Palmetto, so we do not offer the ability to choose your own contractor. However, we only work with top solar inspection, service, and maintenance specialists, and we guarantee their work, so you never have to worry about the quality of services performed.
A: As long as the repairs are included in the terms of your Palmetto Protect agreement, there is no limit to the number of repairs that are covered. Of course, we’ll do our best to ensure that potential issues are identified and addressed before they become recurring problems, but you’re covered no matter what your specific system needs.
A: Palmetto Protect goes above and beyond the coverage of a typical manufacturer’s warranty, which normally only protects you against manufacturing defects with your equipment, and workmanship of the original installation. If you do need service on a piece of equipment that is covered by your equipment warranty, Palmetto Protect also provides comprehensive management of any warranty claims you might have. Palmetto Protect covers any specific repairs performed, however Palmetto is not a replacement for your original workmanship warranty, and any issues with the underlying system will be covered by the warranty of the original installer. If your system was installed by Palmetto, your equipment warranty will be associated with the original sale.
A: Service Now is our guarantee that we will address your needs quickly, and complete a service check within a reasonable amount of time. If we are unable to complete services within 1 week of a request, we will extend a one-time payment of $50 towards the services that are being performed.
A: Palmetto Protect customers receive additional benefits such as active monitoring, discounts on products and services, and more, so this is a separate add-on that can be included with your system.

A: Solar panels are scrubbed and cleaned with soap and water to keep them free from dust and debris that can accumulate over time. We will also remove any debris that results from pests or storms.
A: Pest abatement refers to the removal of any pest-related debris or damage, such as that caused by squirrels and birds, and repair of any roof areas that were impacted. Abatement is the process of adding protective guards that limit the ability of a new pest to take up residence around your system.
A: Sometimes solar panels need to be removed and re-installed for home repairs, additions, or upgrades, if a new roof is being installed, or if you’re moving your system to a new home. We’ll remove and safely store your system, and manage any transportation needs to ensure there’s no risk of damage during this process.
